Privacy policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Bamvello ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares your personal information when you visit bamvello.com, make a purchase, or contact us. Our store runs on Shopify.
Information we collect
- Order and contact details: your name, email address, shipping and billing addresses, and phone number (if you provide one).
- Payment information: payments are processed securely by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments, Shop Pay and PayPal). We do not see or store your full card number.
- Order history: the products you buy, return or exchange.
- Messages: anything you send us through our contact form or by email.
- Device and usage information: such as your IP address, browser, device type and the pages you visit, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
- Newsletter: your email address, only if you choose to subscribe.
How we use your information
- To process, ship and deliver your orders, and to handle returns and refunds.
- To answer your questions and provide customer support.
- To send you emails about your order.
- To send you our newsletter and offers, only if you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To keep our store secure and to prevent fraud.
- To understand how our store is used and improve it.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our store:
- Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders. Learn more in the Shopify Privacy Policy.
- Payment providers, to process your payment.
- Supplier and fulfilment partners, who pack and ship your order directly. They receive your name, shipping address and phone number (if provided) only so they can deliver it. Some of these partners are located outside Canada.
- Shipping carriers, to deliver your parcel and provide tracking.
- Our accessibility tool (ClearPath), which powers the accessibility menu on our site. Your accessibility settings are saved in your own browser, and the tool records anonymous usage events (for example, that the menu was opened). It does not collect what you type.
- Authorities, when required by law.
Cookies
We use cookies that are needed for the store to work (for example, to remember your cart), and analytics cookies to understand how the store is used. Where required, we ask for your consent first. You can also control cookies in your browser settings.
International transfers
Because our service providers and supplier partners operate in different countries, your information may be stored or processed outside Canada, including in the United States and China. When this happens, it may be accessible to authorities in those countries under their laws.
How long we keep it
We keep order information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. We keep newsletter data until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. To make a request, contact us through our contact page. We may need to verify your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your local data protection authority.
Children
Our store is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their province or country.
Security
We use secure, encrypted checkout and trusted service providers to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
