We want everyone to be able to browse and shop at Bamvello comfortably, including people who use assistive technology.
What we do
- Our pages use clear headings and structure, so screen readers can move through them easily.
- Images have text descriptions.
- You can navigate the store with a keyboard, and focused elements are clearly highlighted.
- We choose text and background colours with readable contrast.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, we turn off non-essential animations.
Accessibility menu
Select the accessibility button in the bottom-right corner of any page to open our accessibility menu. You can change contrast, switch to dark or light mode, make text bigger, adjust letter and line spacing, use a more readable or dyslexia-friendly font, highlight links, enlarge the cursor and pause motion. Your settings are saved in your browser for your next visit.
Checkout
Our secure checkout is provided by Shopify, which works to meet recognized accessibility standards.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, and we keep improving our store as we add new content and features.
